Artisan Village

A redevelopment idea for the town where I grew up, the idea was to redevelop the run down part of the High Street using small 'Artisan' units eg jewelry makers, Ceramics, pottery etc. The units would be small and affordable and have work space over a small retail outlet.

The idea was well received by the council worker that I presented it to - but that was 5 years ago so I guess it isn't going ahead!

I had a long standing fantasy idea of developing the old West Pier in Brighton, restoring it to it's original Victorian splendor and re-introducing traditional activities such as old time musicals and theatre. Sadly this idea died when the pier was burnt down - but perhaps another run down pier?
